Pay what you can
£5 will cover one weeks materials costs for one young person
£13 covers 1% of running costs for the entire programme, which seems small but it is a HUGE help
£35 will cover an hour of artists time
£130 will cover the equivalent costs for one young person to attend the 10 week programme
What to expect:
A 10-week artist led workshop series aimed at young people, ages 11-17 years old in the Milton Keynes area who are experiencing mild-moderate mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression or social isolation. Each week participants will learn a new art technique. The activities will encourage an awareness and appreciation of art making to support wellbeing and offer a chance to meet like-minded people. Lead artists include Alice Boland-Rhodes, Ciara Callaghan, Sarah Hunt, Gabby Radiguet and Amy Walsh.
Who is this course for?
The programme is particularly designed to support young people ages 11–17, in the Milton Keynes area who may be feeling the effects of anxiety, loneliness, depression or other conditions upon their physical and mental wellbeing. Please note these workshops are suitable for those with mild physical and mental health challenges and provide a supportive environment to meet like-minded young people of their age only, they are not suitable for those seeking professional support from art therapists. Spaces are limited and will be designated on a first come, first served basis with a record kept for those wanting to take part in any future programmes*.
Referrals
Please note, we are only accepting interest in our Art & Wellbeing courses from young people who are in need of additional support with their mental health. Once you have booked you will be sent a referral form to fill out.
