As Director, Fiona provides us leadership and maintains a strategic overview of all aspects of the Arts Centre’s work, reporting to our Board of Trustees (see below!).

Chair – Camilla Alexander-White, Founding & Managing Director of MKTox & Co Ltd. A distinguished science-policy professional with a passion for music and the arts. Over the past 12 years, Camilla has excelled in senior management and board-level positions, showcasing exceptional leadership and governance skills. Currently holding leadership roles within the charity sector, she is making a significant contribution to organisations committed to positive social impact.
Allawee Albaghdadi, Property Lawyer, EMW Law. Allawee is a real estate lawyer with considerable experience gained working in-house for a former FTSE 100 retailer as well as private practice.
Alice Barnett is Head of Marketing at Queen’s, a London-based fine art shipping and specialist art logistics provider that serves the world’s top galleries, museums and private clients.
Emma Stone is an FCA Chartered Accountant with 15 years experience in Finance, Risk and Assurance roles within practice and the FTSE 50. She is currently the Head of Finance for the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, a non-profit organisation that compensates victims of uninsured and hit-and-run motor accidents.
Kyle Kirkpatrick, Deputy Head of School: Arts and Media at MK College is a practicing artist with a First Class Honours in Fine Art from Norwich University of Arts. Recent exhibitions included MK Calling 2020, MK Gallery; Bankley Open 2018, Bankley Studios + Gallery, Manchester; and NN Contemporary Open 2018, NN Contemporary, Northampton.
Michael Smythe, Artist, Producer and Founder of Nomad Projects. Michael studied installation, performance and art history at the Australian National University, Canberra, and Hochschule Der Künste, Berlin.
Rooda Abdillahi aka “The Iron Woman”, is Founder and Chair of the African Diaspora Foundation; a platform giving voice to the African communities in Milton Keynes. Rooda is a Science Tutor at a private organisation and has a Master of Science in Biomedical Science.
Valerie Wallersteiner has worked in art and architectural as well as mainsteam publishing (Academy Editions, Harper Collins Publishers) and the commercial gallery world, most recently as associate director of Jessica Carlisle Gallery in London. At the local level, Valerie served on the MK Gallery board's steering committee responsible for stewarding the new multi million pound extension.
Elizabeth Brown (she/her) moved to Milton Keynes in 2018 to join the exhibitions team at MK Gallery. Since then, she has held roles at Wysing Arts Centre, Kettle’s Yard and Ikon Gallery, and has worked as a freelancer with organisations including PEER Gallery and the Art360 Foundation, as well as individual artists. She is currently working in the Civil Service and lives in Leighton Buzzard.
