The Plate Fundraiser is our annual online auction of prominent and emerging contemporary artists donating unique artwork, each responding to a ceramic plate.
All funds raised are used to deliver Milton Keynes Arts Centre’s free, year-round outreach programme providing creative learning opportunities for children and young people with little or no access to the arts.
Milton Keynes Arts Centre situated in the heart of 18th century Linford Manor Park, presents a programme of artist residencies, events and educational activities inspired by our unique location. We provide access to specialist ceramic, silversmithing and wood shop resources, and the space to explore new ideas and directions in the development of craft, design and the visual arts.
A Historic England site built between 1696–1720, MKAC comprises of a barn converted gallery and site for artist residencies, with purpose-built workshop spaces supporting year-round creative learning opportunities for local communities. In 1974 MKAC became an arts centre and registered charity, nurturing arts, culture and wellbeing in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. Past fundraisers have supported MKAC to continue providing opportunities for our communities to benefit from arts and culture, including homeless charity Open Door MK; local schools; young people with special education and behavioural needs; and individuals with learning disabilities.
