Who is this workshop suitable for?
Suitable for adults 16+

What will be covered?
Looking at the artist Alison Katz for inspiration, currently showing at the Hayward in the Mixing It Up: Painting Today, you will think of a theme; Christmas or anything at all, that would be fun to add layers or small amounts of rice onto as a means of experimenting with texture.

Chantelle will demonstrate throughout the class how we can work with the various amounts of applications with paint and colour.
Included in the materials pack:
  • Acrylic paints
  • PVA glue
  • Paper
  • Paintbrush

To follow at home you will need:
  • Rice
  • Water container and water
  • Kitchen roll or blotting paper
  • Pencil
  • Clear work space
  • Working internet connection
