Includes a 30 minute lunch break
We are booking up to 12 people on this course, on the understanding that from 21 June all social distancing measures will be relaxed. If this is not the case, we will ask the last 6 people who joined to transfer onto the next available course.
We are committed to working with our artists and communities in continuing to provide opportunities for creativity during these challenging times. Together, we have been working throughout lockdown in reconfiguring our courses to ensure the safety of all concerned without compromising on quality. Find out more about our new safety measures.

Who is this class suitable for?
Suitable for any level of experience. This course is good for everyone but is ideal for anyone who wants to try a new technique in ceramics beyond hand building and throwing.
What will be covered in the class?
This course will cover the process of slip casting, from turning clay into a casting slip and using it to cast shapes using plaster casting moulds to make multiple pieces which can be worked upon and decorated.
Students will be able to choose from a range of plaster moulds available in our ceramics studio, ranging from small vessels such as mugs, bowls and egg cups to more specialist moulds.
Students will leave with 2-3 small fired slip cast pieces, which they will also have the chance to glaze.
What will I need to bring?
All materials and tools are included.
Heat guns will be provided, but please do bring your own if you have one. Alternatively, hair dryers can also be used in the drying process.
