Who is this class suitable for?
Ages 16+
Suitable for all skills.
This course is good for everyone but is ideal for anyone who wants to try a new technique in ceramics beyond hand building and throwing.
What will be covered in the class?
This course will cover the process of slip casting, from turning clay into a casting slip and using it to cast shapes in plaster casting moulds to make multiple pieces which can be worked upon and decorated.
What will students leave the class with?
Several fired slip cast pieces using the plaster moulds we have in storage, which they will also have the chance to glaze.
What will you need?
Heat guns will be provided, but please do bring your own if you have one. Alternatively, hair dryers can also be used in the drying process.
