What will be covered?
Using cardboard, ink, salt and water you will carry out a science experiment making a salt crystal Christmas tree. Set up and watch as the salt crystals grow over the next few days.
- Thick card or cardboard (2 squares approx. 20cm x 20cm)
- 1 pre-cut tree shape to draw around
- Green ink or food colouring
- Hot water
- Table salt (750g should be enough for 2 trees)
- A spoon to stir
- Jug/bowl to mix the salt solution
- Container/bowl
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
