Who is this class suitable for?
Adults 16+
All skill levels. Must be able to sit at a pottery wheel.
What will be covered in the class?
Every wanted to try your hand a wheel throwing a pot? – Well now is your chance! Join our ceramics technician Sarah Dewhurst for this pottery wheel throwing taster session, where you will learn the basics of working the potters wheel and experiment by throwing some forms of your own.
What will students leave the class with?
You will leave with a basic understanding of how to throw on the pottery wheel and some unfired wheel thrown forms.
Note: as a taster session we anticipate you will not want to have you have work fired but if you do, this service is available at a small additional cost to course participants only. Please see here for more details.
What will I need to bring?
Aprons or coveralls should be worn at all times, along with hair-ties and closed-toe shoes.

Ceramics Studio (Ground floor with raised tables, narrow doorways).
