Suitable for any level of experience.
What will be covered in the class?
Influenced by Japanese Furoshiki, during this gentle, festive workshop we will spend time thoughtfully dyeing and finishing squares of cloth to be used as reusable wrapping cloths when gift giving this year.
Participants will explore some of the natural dyes still available in Winter, food waste dyes, printing and resist techniques and hand sewn embellishments.
Each participant will take home a selection of wrapping cloths and ribbons in various sizes. We will also have a little play with different ways the cloths can be used to wrap gifts.
What do I need to bring?
All materials are included.
Location
Gallery. MKAC gallery is wheelchair accessible. Work benches are not currently height adjustable.
