Suitable for any level of experience.

What will be covered in the class?
Don’t throw out that old jumper like it’s last year’s Christmas tree! Transform it into something beautiful and festive that you can treasure.

In this workshop led by artists Sarah Hunt and Ciara Callaghan, you will learn traditional mending techniques, applique and decorative embroidery, and be guided on how to use them to create your own unique jumper.

A cosy, sociable evening with mulled wine and festive treats, the perfect way to spend some time with friends and family.

It can get cold in our gallery space in the Winter, so we ask that you wrap up warm!

What do I need to bring?
All materials are included, but please bring along a jumper or cardigan you would like to transform.

Location
Gallery. The Gallery is situated on the ground floor with step-free access.

Tutors
Ciara Callaghan is a fibre artist based in Milton Keynes. She uses needlework and natural dyeing to explore themes around female empowerment, dream imagery and fluxes of reality.

Sarah Hunt is a textile and mixed media artist. She loves to take a fresh look at traditional art and craft techniques - playing with scale, subject and material - so that she can share them with others in a playful and accessible way. Her courses are popular with early years all the way up to grownups as she creates safe and nurturing spaces to explore creativity and learn new skills.

Photographs and/or video will be taken during this workshop
