Who is this class suitable for?
No experience required. This workshop is adaptable to different abilities. We kindly ask that you contact us inform of any accessibility needs at the time of booking.
Children/young people do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What will be covered in the class?
Join local songwriter and musician Rachael Inwood this half term as she guides you though her top tips for writing your very own song lyrics. The session will start by exploring some collage and making techniques using the theme of ‘Home’ to inspire our compositions. Before learning some literary tools to help express ideas in lyrics for a song or poem.
What will participants leave the class with?
Participants will finish the course with an understanding of crafting lyrics for a song or poem.
What will participants need to bring?
All materials and equipment are provided.
Art Studio. The art studio is situated at the top of a flight of stairs. Tools are all light and accessible. Work benches are not currently height adjustable.
Rachael Inwood is a songwriter, musician, workshop leader and instrumental teacher based in Milton Keynes. Rachael believes that everyone is musical and creative. She has been leading music workshops for the last seven years and has written and released her own songs and regularly collaborate with other songwriters.
