Who is this class suitable for?
This course is suitable for all levels of skill. This course aims to create a sharing, supportive and encouraging environment to allow for the development of skill at all stages of experience.
What will be covered in the class?
This 10-week course addresses the basics of life drawing with exercises helping to develop use of line, tone, composition, sketching, volume and anatomy. Through two hours of short to long poses, students will develop drawing skills and understanding of the figure with the support and guidance of tutor Sara Myers.
What to bring?
Basic materials are covered by the course fee and will be provided. Students are welcome to to bring any favourite or new materials that they’d like to use. Additional materials can be purchased as the course progresses.
Additional information: Each week drawing from a nude life model.
Sara Myers is a freelance classically trained sculptor. Alongside her own practice, Myers does commissions and commercial sculptures, some of which include over 20 figures for Madame Tussauds, and several local projects including the 3-metre metal wall piece outside Wolverton Town Hall and Library entitled ‘By the steel rails iron horse’ for Wolverton Arts and Heritage.
