Who is this class suitable for?
Ages 16+
Suitable for artists of all disciplines and levels of experience, so whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced professional in need of a refresher, you will not only leave feeling inspired but also with the confidence to take your newfound skills further.
What will be covered in the class?
Join artist Sarah Wright for a full day with a life model to develop your observation and drawing skills by studying the human form.
The session will begin with shorter poses to help familiarise yourself with the model, the materials, and the space, it will continue with a longer sustained pose giving you time to progress your drawing to completion. Support, tuition and guidance will be available throughout the day dependent on your individual needs.
What will I need to bring?
Easels, boards, and clips are provided, and a range of basic drawing materials will be available including charcoal, graphite, and paper. Please do bring with you any specific art materials you would personally like to use.
Please bring a packed lunch with you.
Location
Art Studio: The art studio is situated at the top of a flight of stairs. Tools are all light and accessible. Work benches are not currently height adjustable.
Tutor
Sarah Wright is a practising artist based in Milton Keynes, with over 20 years experience of teaching drawing, and life drawing courses, she is also an associate artist at MK Gallery. Sarah is currently studying for an MA Fine Art at Northampton University.
