What will be covered in the class?
Join us to learn how to make Kokedama (moss balls). The Japanese art of wrapping the root ball of plants in moss to hold the nutrients in without the need for a plant pot. During the workshop you will have the chance to make two Kokedarma and enjoy a Japanese tea and a treat during the break.
Your finished Kokedama will add a unique and refreshing feature to your home, where they can be hung like a hanging basket or stood as an ornamental feature.
There will be the option to purchase a handmade ceramic tray from the artist to stand your Kokedama on at a small additional cost.
What will students leave the class with?
Each student will leave with two Kokedama.
All plants and materials provided.

Gallery – The gallery has wheelchair access via an external ramp.
Tutors
Emi Fujisawa is a Japanese textile and ceramic artist/designer. Her personal work is mainly focused on making vases and Japanese matcha bowls using her own glazes made with natural materials.
