Who is this class suitable for?
Suitable for complete beginners.
What will be covered in the class?
You will be taught with step-by-step instructions from artist Kemi Onabule, who will be looking at artists such as Van Gogh and Constable as inspiration in learning how to paint from observation, using acrylic paints. In the class you will be able to experiment with the idea of the landscape to create a final painting, looking at colour, texture and mark making. You will have the chance to work directly from the beautiful historic parklands sourrounding Milton Keynes Art Centre.
Graduates of this class will receive 10% off their next Drawing & Painting Course.
What’s included?
Basic stationery (pencils, sharpeners and erasers) will be included. The course will also include working outside, so please wear weather appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes. We have a café on site for snacks and hot drinks but recommend you bring a packed lunch with you.
Tutor
Kemi Onabule holds a Fine Art degree in Painting from UAL: Wimbledon College of Art. Her work has been exhibited extensively in London. In 2017, she was shortlisted for two graduate prizes: The Hix Award and The Ingram Prize. Kemi uses her formal knowledge of portraiture and figure in her artistic practice to create dream-like scenes of people in nature and often centres on the female form.
