Ages 16+
Suitable for all skill levels.
What will be covered in the class?
How to use art to design make your home and garden wildlife friendly.
Join artist Debi-Sara Wilkinson for this one day introduction examining how with day light hours getting shorter, we can utilise our home and garden surroundings to nurture and support the natural world around us during the colder months.
In this autumn workshop we will develop an understanding of how to create welcoming habitats for local wildlife such as bats, hedgehogs, foxes, badgers, frogs and moths. We will identify what you have to work with in your own homes and gardens; and use our creativity and imaginations to begin to consider what to put into place both for the remaining months of 2021 and looking ahead for the spring of 2022.
You will leave the workshop enthused with sketches and research ideas, winter reading materials will be suggested, a spring workshop will continue in a similar vein but will be focused on summer and autumn planning and planting.
What do I need to bring?
All materials are included, but you will need to bring a selection of hard copy photographs of your garden.
