See below for more details.

Thursdays 7 June, 14 June and 21 June 2018
1–3pm
Free, suitable for ages 15+
In response to Headland project and exhibition, exploring the psycho-geographical values of local memories, participants are invited to take part in a short series of artist-led talks designed to define creative practices in the context of psycho-geography; the effect of a geographical location on the emotions and behaviour of individuals.
Psycho-geography and Arts Practice
7 June
The first session will look into the key concepts of psycho-geographical arts practice including embodiment and political-poetry, with a tour of themes arising in Headland.
Map Making
14 June
Maps can be curious and subjective, practical, logical and drawn to scales from micro to macro; from individual thoughts to endless expanding galaxies. In this session participants will look at building a multidimensional map and picture of local communities through a series of observational and research based techniques, which can be applied to your own art practice and audience engagement.
Site-reading Performance
21 June
Focusing on embodiment, a key concept in psycho-geographical practices, participants will learn and perform body movement techniques, applying them to readings interpreting spaces and places.
