Summary
Established in 1974, Milton Keynes Arts Centre (MKAC) is a multidisciplinary arts centre set in the historic grounds of Great Linford Manor Park and a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England. We specialise in co-developing projects with artists and communities in Milton Keynes that respond to the issues affecting people’s lives and help to empower often marginalised communities in the city. Alongside these projects, we offer specialist art production facilities - including in ceramics, woodworking and silversmithing - in which we provide opportunities for people to engage in participatory activities, acquire new skills through working with artists, and support health and well-being.

We are seeking Casual Event Assistants to support the delivery of MKAC’s courses and events and to act as the reception point for the organisation, dealing with enquiries, taking bookings and processing sales. The successful candidate will be passionate about the arts; they will have excellent interpersonal skills; an ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; and a willingness to work unsociable hours, including lone working.

This is an exciting, challenging and varied new post at MKAC, with plenty of opportunity for personal development and career progression in the arts.

MKAC treats all job applicants equally, regardless of class, age, disability, gender identity or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or any other equality characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the cultural sector.
