Who is this class suitable for?
Ages 16+
Suitable for all skill levels.
What will be covered in the class?
This two day intensive course will be an exploration into the mindful practice of natural dyeing and pigment making. Participants will learn how to prepare fabrics for dyeing and how to create natural dye vats, testing dye resist techniques and colour modification. Day two will explore recycling dye vats to turn colour pigments into watercolour paints and inks.

Ciara Callaghan is a fibre artist based in Milton Keynes. She uses needlework and natural dyeing to explore themes around female empowerment, dream imagery and fluxes of reality.
