Who is this class suitable for?
Ages 16+
Suitable for all skill levels.
What will be covered in the class?
Each student will learn the skills to make a ceramic ornamental house. Using stoneware clay slabs to make decorative houses to fill with tea-lights or string lights. Mastering the art of applying surface detail and decoration as you go. Every house will be glazed and fired by our on-site ceramic technician once the course has finished. Students will be able to collect at a later date once the glaze and firing processes are complete.

Andrew Macdermott is a product of evening pottery classes at Milton Keynes Arts Centre. ‘I fell in love with the tactile clay immediately and now a few years on I teach the class I learnt in.’ Andy makes and sells Icelandic-inspired ceramic pieces at craft fairs and galleries across the country.
