Throughout October–November 2018 designer Milo Mcloughlin-Greening has made his home at Milton Keynes Arts Centre, collaborating with local residents, schools, colleges and community groups to design and make a collection of bespoke furniture using donated, unwanted and broken wood in Collecting Commons.
Collecting Commons is the development of a project designed by Milo, exploring how a physical object can be used as a tool to develop social bonds within a community.
This December 2018, these pieces of handcrafted wooden furniture will become the centre of a series of celebratory sharing events taking place at the Arts Centre, before finding permanent homes in community spaces in Milton Keynes.
