Who is this class suitable for?
This workshop is suitable for all abilities. The morning workshop is suitable for children 8–12 years of age and the afternoon of young people 13–17 years of age.
We kindly ask that you contact us inform of any accessibility needs at the time of booking.
Children/young people do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What will be covered in the workshop?
Join ceramicist Andy Macdermott this half term as we learn to sculpt and hollow pumpkins and squash from clay and decorate them with coloured slips and accessories such as autumnal coloured leaves and vine.
What will participants leave the class with?
Each participant will have made a ceramic sculpture which will then be clear glazed and fired in our kilns for collection at a later date.
What will I need to bring?
All tools and materials are included. Participants will need to wear clothing suitable clothing for getting messy and closed toed shoes.
Location
Ceramics Studio (ground floor with raised tables, narrow doorways).
